I've been hard at work in the background creating a online class that will be free to the public using one of my old college books and sorting through online resources on the topic of PLCs. This first step will cover most of the basic and most commonly seen instructions when looking at a PLC program. It will also cover a brief history of where PLCs came from and why we have ladder logic. I'm targeting the first half of September for this and will have another section on the website dedicated to resources that will help bring a better understanding of the controls and automation world. We're creating the difference in automation. Stay tuned.... 😎

Anyone else wonder how much money is just laying around the shop not being used because it wasn't used on a job or wasn't needed and now it's so old that you can't use it on anything so it just sits and collects dust? Can't be just me.....🤣
How much money is just laying around workshops? content media

126 workers died due to exposure to electricity. Almost three in five injuries (56 percent) were caused by direct exposure to electricity; this is defined as injuries caused by direct contact with the power source, such as direct contact with a live electrical wire or when the victim is struck by an electrical arc. One-third (33 percent) of the victims were 25 to 34 years of age and one-fifth (21 percent) were 35 to 44 years old. Nine of the fatally injured workers (7 percent of total) were 18 to 19 years of age. One-fifth (20 percent) worked in installation, maintenance, and repair occupations. Approximately 31 percent took place at an industrial site. Be careful out there and always keep your safety in mind and never do anything you feel is unsafe. Always respect electricity. Remember, the incoming power to automation equipment usually starts out at 460VAC feed circuit before being branched out into the common 24VDC control circuits. Your motors, drives, etc. most commonly will run at the 460VAC levels. https://www.nfpa.org//-/media/Files/News-and-Research/Fire-statistics-and-reports/Electrical/osFatalElectricalInjuries.pdf What's some of the things you've seen out there that just make you shake your head?

This is the procedure to backup and restore the micro850 controller made by Allen Bradley. This will allow you to create a backup program from the connected components workbench software and download into a remote PC using just a microSD card and no additional training. This does however only work if you have the 2080-SDMEMRTC-SC plug in module installed on both PLCs.

No, not the book, but the goal of this adventure I started with minimal resources and no customer base. Well, I do have one resource, but one customer doesn't make a successful business venture. So why am I doing this? I've started this venture to help not just engineers, but everyone from the plant floor to the managers and remove roadblocks commonly seen in industry that I've seen for so many years. As long as product is going out the door and money is coming in many businesses are happy just adhering to the norm. I'm not here to tear down the industry or throw shade at my former employers, but if you know, you know. I'm out here asking the question, why? Why is training so hard to come by, or expensive? Why can't I get label printers without going through months of procedures to justify the cost? Why is it so hard to share information so everyone can be successful in our field? Where does this venture end up? I don't know, but the goal is to create a successful business model that doesn't just make money, but removes common roadblocks seen by many in industry so that they can become successful in their careers as well. Then when we're really successful, bring that success into our communities so that not only does our business grow, but our communities grow around us as well. So the end goal isn't really about being on top of the pyramid and having a business. The goal is to help bring people together as a community and find ways to grow the community and the business will grow with it. The more I grow the community, the more the business grows, and the more I can invest in people to help them grow. The Goal: Help individual and community growth around the field of controls engineering and automation.
